LOOK: McGregor reacts to first loss since 2010 – #JHedzWorlD

UFC featherweight champion Conor McGregor reacted to his first loss since 2010 in typical fashion, defiantly declaring that he will “never apologize for taking a shot.”

McGregor battled Nate Diaz in a bout fought at welterweight (170 pounds) in the main event of UFC 196 last Saturday in Las Vegas. He initially dominated, landing his trademark crisp punches that bloodied his opponent, but Diaz was able to survive and make it to the second round.

Diaz took over from that point, landing punches of his own that rocked McGregor. He eventually took McGregor down and locked in a rear naked choke, forcing the Irishman to tap.

It was McGregor’s first loss in the UFC, and also his first defeat since November 2010 when he tapped out to Joseph Duffy at Cage Warriors 39.

In an Instagram post, the brash McGregor made no apologies for his loss, took shots at his rivals, and vowed to bounce back.

“I stormed in and put it all on the line. I took a shot and missed. I will never apologize for taking a shot,” he declared.

“Sh*t happens. I’ll take this loss like a man. I will not shy away from it. I will not change who I am. If another champion goes up two weight (classes), let me know. If you’re tired of me talking money, take a nap,” he added.

“I’ll still be here when you wake up, with the highest PPV and the gate.”

He lambasted former opponent Jose Aldo, and upcoming rival Rafael Dos Anjos, whom he was supposed to face at the main event but eventually withdrew from the fight card due to an injury.

“Aldo, you are a p*ssy. Dos Anjos, you are a p*ssy. When the history books are written, I showed up. You showed up on Twitter,” he said.

McGregor guaranteed that he can recover from the setback.

“I’ve been here many times in my life, in some form or another,” he said. “It’ll eat it all and come back stronger.”
